Challenge
This is a building where operations never stop. The printing process at Royal Joh. Enschedé requires a precisely controlled indoor climate, including both humidification and dehumidification, day and night. At the same time, office spaces within the building have entirely different climate demands. This mix of functions made energy management highly complex.
Solution
VBoptimize now manages the building with continuous predictive control. By digitally modeling both the building and the technical systems, a Digital Twin was created that adjusts in real-time based on actual data and expected behavior. The specialists at Priva ecoBuilding ensured the thermal behavior of the system was fully aligned with the digital model, enabling reliable and effective control.
Collaboration
In close collaboration with Van Doren, the control technology was carefully aligned with the Digital Twin. Hidde Moes, the client representative from Royal Joh. Enschedé, has been closely involved throughout the project. He actively monitors the building's energy performance and is already seeing the first savings—despite the demanding 24/7 operations.
